Tokyo Olympics India Winners: Full list of cash rewards announced for Indian medal winners | Tokyo Olympics News

NEW DELHI: It’s raining cash rewards and promotions for India’s Tokyo Olympics medal winners. India signed off the Tokyo Games with seven medals – 1 in athletics, 2 in wrestling, 1 in weightlifting, 1 in hockey, 1 in boxing, and 1 in badminton.
With this, India also went past the mark of 6 medals, which was the country’s best ever medal haul at a single edition of the Games before this (London, 2012) to register their most successful Olympic outing of all time.
Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won India’s first-ever track-and-field Olympic gold medal in Tokyo, while PV Sindhu won bronze in badminton, boxer Lovlina Borgohain won a bronze medal in boxing, the Indian men’s hockey team broke a 41 year jinx by winning a bronze, Mirabai Chanu won silver in weightlifting, and wrestlers Ravi Dahiya and Bajrang Punia clinched silver and bronze respectively.

NEERAJ CHOPRA (GOLD MEDAL IN JAVELIN THROW)
From Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar: Rs 6 crore, Neeraj to also be made the head of the upcoming Centre for Excellence in Athletics in Panchkula
From Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh: Rs 2 crore
From IOA: Rs 75 lakh
From BCCI: Rs. 1 crore
From Chennai Super Kings (CSK): Rs 1 Crore. CSK will make a special jersey with the number 8758 as a mark of respect to Neeraj (His longest throw in the Olympics final was 87.58m)
From IndiGo airlines: Unlimited free travel for 1 year
From Elan Group (Gurugram-based realty firm): Rs 25 lakh
From BYJU’S: Rs 2 crore

Govt of Andhra Pradesh: Rs 30 lakh
