Call of Duty: Warzone reached its peak of popularity in the early days of quarantine. The game was released in March 2020 and it was the perfect time to launch a free-to-play battle royale. At one point, over 500,000 people logged into the game daily. If you missed that early hype, you can still enjoy Warzone as Warzone 2.0 just launched. But that begs the question: can Ryzen 5 run Warzone 2.0?

However, if you have a Ryzen 5 processor, you may be wondering: Can Ryzen 5 run Warzone 2.0? Well, the answer is largely a resounding yes. On the other hand, all Ryzen 5 processors are different from each other.
If you’re wondering if your particular Ryzen 5 processor can run Warzone, we’ll help answer that question.
Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0 – PC Requirements
Here are the minimum requirements for Warzone 2.0 on PC.
- CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 / Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
- RAM memory: 8GB
- Hi-Rez Assets Cache: Up to 32 GB
- Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470
- Video Memory: 2 GB
Utilities, here are the recommended requirements. You can run the game with the minimum requirements, but there will be some hiccups.
- CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K / Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400
- RAM memory: 12 GB
- Hi-Rez Assets Cache: Up to 32 GB
- Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580
- Video Memory: 4 GB
So any Ryzen 5 processor newer than Ryzen 5 1400 should have no issues running Warzone 2.0. Provided your GPU also meets the minimum/recommended requirements. Note that these requirements are based on 1080p at 30 fps or 720p at 60 fps.
People using a Ryzen 5 2600, 3600, 5500 or similar should be fine if they have a decent enough GPU. Pairing these processors with something like a 1660 super gives you great performance at 1080p. We recommend the Ryzen 5 5600X to cover all your bases.

Can Ryzen APUs Run Warzone 2.0?
So what if you’re using a Ryzen APU like the 3400G or 5600G? Well, that’s where things get complicated.
These processors have integrated Radeon Vega graphics. Their performance is good enough to play Esports titles on lower settings, but not much more. However, if you have a Ryzen 5 5600G or Ryzen 7 5700G, you’re much better off. You can easily hit 50 fps at 1080p. If you put that back to 900p, you can even get away with 60 fps
On the other hand, if you’re using a Ryzen 5 4600G, 3400G or older, you should stick to 720p resolution for smooth gameplay. This is because you might get 30fps at 1080p, but the framerate drops can hamper the experience. This is especially true for laptops.

Conclusion
In short, we would only really recommend APUs like the Ryzen 5 5600G or newer for Warzone. We base this recommendation on the fact that you will probably play other games well and want decent performance there.
One final note: Performance is about the same on Warzone and Warzone 2.0. However, everything is new here with the sequel.
