On Friday, two officers from Mehrauli police station in Delhi called Nadar to Manikpur police station in Vasai to take his statement, a Maharashtra police officer who was aware of the matter said on condition of anonymity. Delhi police officers spent three hours recording Nadar’s statement.

However, upon leaving the police station, Nadar refused to release details of the statement he made to the Delhi Police.
